The Construction Cloud Mission

The construction industry has experienced stagnant productivity over the past 60 years, largely due to a delay in technology investment. With this in mind, in 2017 PlanGrid conceptualized The Construction Cloud – a group of select partners coming together to create educational content for the construction industry. The Construction Cloud aims to provide construction professionals with easy access to construction thought leadership to help advise on ways to improve productivity through the use of technology and other methodologies.

In September of 2017, The Construction Cloud hosted its first webinar led by a panel of industry expert speakers including Ken Simonson, Chief Economist for AGC, John Pemberton, CEO of Transforming Construction Solutions, Kris Lengieza, VP of Operational Excellence for Stiles Corporation, and Robert Kipp, General Superintendent for Satterfield & Pontikes Construction.

In 2018, The Construction Cloud partners, including CCR, PlanGrid, Rhumbix, Skycatch, SmartBid, and TopCon, hope to continue to provide valueable content with the ultimate goal of driving tangible change in how the construction industry does business, today and in the future.
